Over the years, we have realized that many of the essays and articles we wrote specifically to help some of the brethren were NEVER read, because most Christians, like the culture in general, simply do not read very much anymore. After brainstorming, we came up with the idea of condensing many of what we think are the most important essays into a series of “bare bones” brochures which would at least give the interested person an overview and hopefully lead them to read more.

We have also discovered that as our writings become more popular, there are those out there who will deliberately misread or misinterpret our materials trying to make us say things that we never intended. Hence, having these brief summaries helps to make it clear what we believe, from what certain unscrupulous people SAY we believe.

We print out and make these brochures available to our members and guests; it allows new people to “see where we are coming from” - while at the same time, hopefully, stimulating them to think through their faith and read the more fully developed concepts in our essays. The response has been so positive that we are working right now to upgrade the Highlands and Christian Civilization web-sites so that we can make these same brochures available to the broader church.

The ones we publish at Highlands are full color, three fold, brochures which we produce on Microsoft Publisher. We are not in the publishing business but many people have asked for copies to use in their own churches, Bible studies and fellowships.
